The cuisine is an adventure for the senses and the acrobats will astonish your mind. Step into one of the world’s last remaining mirror tents that has lovingly been decorated with velvet drapes to create a vintage flair of circus and gypsy burlesque.

The Theatre of Dreams is performed by an ensemble of artists from around the globe. Singers, entertainers, acrobats and contortionists will have you on the edge of your seat and create a world of wonder that is not easily forgotten.

A Brief History

The story of Madame Zingara begins in 2001 when the bohemian restaurant first started warming the heart of the Mother City. Decadent cuisine met the freedom and extravagance of the gypsy to enchant the city of Cape Town.

In 2006 the whole city was in shock as the popular restaurant burned down. Left with little but their skill and spirit the crew hit the road and the Theatre of Dreams was born. The combination of traditional cuisine with an extravagant twist and a show bringing back the days of circus and Victorian burlesque was a success in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

As of 1st September 2011 Madame Zingara brings you 10 Years of Dreams in the mirror tent, which has been set up on the golf course in Century City.

The Food

The menu at Madame Zingara is prepared on-site with love and passion. Traditional cuisine with an imaginative and extravagant twist caters to all tastes. The dinner experience starts with antipasti followed by a selection of heart-warming pasta. The offerings of the main course range from juicy meats to fresh seafood and fragrant vegetarian cuisine. A firm favourite is the Chocolate Chilli Fillet. The dessert is a trio di dolceletti served with tea, coffee and friandese.
