The Milnerton Golf Club has recently restructured its course, which is now living up to its full potential. Located on a narrow strip of land between a lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, this course is based on British tradition – 9 holes from the clubhouse and 9 holes back. The surrounding water presents a very particular challenge. If you play too far into the rough, you will need spare balls. The Milnerton Golf Club is only a short drive from Cape Town’s city centre and is in close proximity of Tableview and Bloubergstrand.

South Africa’s first golf club was founded by Sir Henry D’Oyley Torrens in 1885. The word “Royal” was added in 1910 by the Duke of Connaught, making this the first club to be granted the Royal Charter. Since the club was moved from its original venue and turned into a challenging 9-hole championship course, the club is truly living up to ‘Royal’ standards. A game of golf on this venue is an experience fit for kings.
